• Resume content: The text of CVs and job descriptions you upload or paste into the service. This data is processed to generate your tailored resume.
• Payment data: We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your card number or full payment details — only a Stripe customer ID and transaction records.
• Usage data: Credit balance, number of resumes generated, timestamps, and basic analytics (page views, referral source) to improve the service.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and cookies necessary for authentication and security.

We use your data solely to provide and improve ImprovedCV:

• To create and manage your account and credit balance.
• To process your resume and job description through our AI pipeline and return a tailored result.
• To process payments and issue credits via Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (e.g. account confirmation, password reset) — we do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your resume and job description text are transmitted to third-party AI providers to generate the tailored resume. By using the service you consent to this processing.

We retain your account data and generated resumes for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g. payment records, which are kept for 7 years for tax purposes).

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.

ImprovedCV is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
